What Racism Looks Like

Racism is so much more than saying the n-word.

It looks like people asking if I'm the babysitter of my children because they're white and I'm not.

It looks like someone asking if I’m the help at a wedding that I was a guest at.

In this podcast episode, I share some very personal experiences I've had with racism at varying levels, and my husband shares his experience of seeing me be treated as less than because of the color of my skin.

We recorded this episode after Ahmaud Arbery was murdered by white supremacists a few weeks ago, but since then Breonna Taylor and George Floyd have been murdered, so unfortunately this conversation is still relevant.
